***A half-day includes 4 hours of boarding at my home. Each overnight is an additional $30.***
If your dog needs a home away from home for four hours or less, then the half day daycare option is what you're looking for! This is the preferred option for dog owners whose dog just needs a few hours of playtime, socialization, or exercise. If you don't have the time or energy to properly exercise your high energy pup, let Kaitlyn (and let's not forget her Mountain Cur, Kiara) tire your dog out for you!
Kiara loves showing her new dog friends around her half-acre fenced-in backyard, which is perfect for all of the running, chasing, wrestling, and fetching your dog could want! There's also a kiddie pool to cool off on hot days, as well as agility equipment, too!
***This includes up to 4 hours of boarding at my home with extensive training. Each overnight is an additional $30.***
This option is perfect for those who want their dog to get some extra socialization, exercise, *and training* for up to four hours. Kaitlyn will do continuous training with your dog on anything you need and will take many videos of the training sessions, which will be shared with you so you can see what your dog is up to, what they're learning, and how to maintain that training when your dog returns home to you. (Contact Kaitlyn if you need more than four hours but less than the All Day option.) Whether you want your dog to work on basic obedience, more advanced training skills, or even socialization and training field trips, the Half Day Board-and-Train is the best option for you and your dog.
***All-day daycare includes boarding for 8-10 hours. Each overnight is an additional $30.***
Skip the extremely stressful dog boarding facilities (which are often just as stressful as dropping your dog off at a shelter would be) and instead bring your beloved dog to a home away from home. My home will never have more than a few dogs, making sure your dog gets nearly undivided attention all day. If your dog is a couch potato, we can do cuddles and belly rubs all day long! If your dog is full of energy, she can enjoy playtime running around with other dogs in a half-acre fenced-in backyard (and there's even some agility equipment and a little pool for extra entertainment!).
This all-day option includes 8-10 hours dog boarding at my home, making sure your dog gets continuous love and attention in addition to exercise, play time, and other various forms of enrichment (like puzzle toys).
***A full day of board-and-train includes 8-10 hours. Each overnight is an additional $30.***
Not only will your dog get constant attention, cuddles, belly rubs, exercise, play time, and socialization at Kaitlyn's home, but you can also have Kaitlyn and your dog work on A TON of training, too!
Note that the closest dog board-and-train facility charges $2,495 for their 2 week board-and-train program, averaging over $178 per day, and your dog stays in an extremely stressful environment and only gets about 2 hours of attention each day. Kaitlyn's Board-and-Train is better for your dog's well-being and learning as well as your wallet! For this reason, please note that this service (particularly longer stays) is often booked out months in advance.
The training could include almost anything, and is completely customizable to you and your dog's individual needs. Does your puppy need some basic manners or potty training? Does your adult dog need to learn basic obedience like Sit, Stay, Leave It, Come, or Heel? Do you want your high energy dog to learn some fun tricks or basic agility skills? Would you like your dog to become a trained service dog and work on advanced skills? Whatever you need, Kaitlyn can help!
Kaitlyn would dedicate the entire day to working on training your dog whatever you need, and will take many videos of these training sessions that will be shared with you so that you can see what your dog learned, how they learned those things, and how to maintain the training once your dog returns home to you.
Are you looking to board your dog for several days? Whether your dog needs a home away from home while you're out of town, or whether you want Kaitlyn to keep your dog for overnight stays in order to work on more advanced training, then simply add on an overnight stay to the standard All Day Daycare or to the All Day Board-and-Train options. We make our home as much like your dog's as possible. So if your dog normally gets kenneled at night, that's what we'll do here. If your dog is used to sleeping in bed, then that's what they can do here too! The cost is $30 for each night that your dog stays overnight.
**These can book out quite far in advance, so make sure to contact Kaitlyn as soon as you know which dates your dog will need to be boarded so you can lock in a reservation.**
Do you have a puppy who would love to romp around with doggy friends, but that you don't feel comfortable bringing to an out-of-control, sometimes overcrowded dog park? Then join us for Playtime! Playtime is for dogs or puppies of any age or size that are friendly with other dogs.
Note: These must be scheduled in advance as Kaitlyn works to coordinate Playtimes that accommodate your puppy's age, size, and play style.
These playtime events happen almost every week (less often in winter, though). Dates for playtime events can be found under the Events tab on this page: Facebook.com/KaitlynsDogTraining
Benefits to joining us for Playtime instead of going to a dog park:
Do you have a dog who hasn't been properly socialized to other dogs, or who deals with some level of fear of other dogs? While Kaitlyn does not specialize in working with dogs with a history of extreme aggression (maimed or killed other dogs), Kaitlyn can absolutely help your under-socialized or reactive dog to build confidence and safely co-exist around other dogs.
While many dogs do learn to love and befriend other dogs, the primary goal for most under-socialized dogs is to at least teach them how to not be afraid or uncomfortable being near other dogs. The typical goal is that they can at least comfortably walk by other dogs on the sidewalk, or to co-exist in the same space as other dogs without reactivity.
Dog parks are the worst possible option for reactive dogs, but many dog owners are unaware there are other, safer and more effective options available. Kaitlyn caters these Socialization sessions to safely and gradually introduce your dog to one new dog at a time in the safest possible way. If you look forward to a future where your under-socialized dog can calmly and comfortably exist around other dogs, then a Socialization session is great for you!
